Do you support your parents and family financially? Is it a strain on your finances?

I know that some people have to support family members to meet their financial needs. For those of you that support family financially, does it strain your finances doing so? I am lucky that I don't have to support my parents financially?

No, I don't support. When my father was still with us he's a huge pension as a retired military official. We also had 10 hectares coco farm but sold the 5 hectares when our dad was sick of cancer and ee need big money. The remaining 5 hectares were distributed by the 5 of us in the family.

You have the same luck that I have. All my siblings are doing well and don't need to depend on me as the first son. My parents don't need my money. I have seen young people work hard with nothing to show because they have to support family.

It is because the members of the family have failed to grow. And if they don't stop giving them aids, those family members might not see a need to grow.

When my biological parents still alive, my siblings and I supported them financially. It does affect our financial matters, but it does not matter because they are my parents.

I agree with you that parents can afford to buy things with their own money. For us, we give money to them to bring back their selfless sacrifices for us.

They're truly lazy but time comes they will be inspired to find work in order to become independent and stand by their own feet.

Yes I do support them the little way I can, though in most cases it is usually a strain for me but it is something I have to do.

I give money to my parents, not because they desperately need it. But because it is what I should do as a token of appreciation for them being there for me all those years. I am not under pressure to give to them though.

When my mother was still alive, I live with her and my brother. Both me and my brother contributed a portion of our income to the family.

I don't have to really support them but I do send them some money from time to time. That does not strain me a lot and so I have enough peace of mind knowing that they are doing well enough.
