Its fine to say that it does not matter but what if the difference is more than 20 years and I have seen couples and actually Girls/ladies from certain countries that are willing to marry a rich person even if the age difference is more than 30 + years

What if you're 20 and your wife is 35, won't you feel discouraged and backout
. Maybe in few years gap only.A gap of up to 10 years was considered fine many years ago and these days we only see a gap of 2-3 years unless you are some celeb but even then the gap is of 10-15 years so its normal to see bigger gaps between normal people
I don't think age matters. My brother is 12 years older than my sister-in-law. They have been married for 25 years and are getting along very well. My nephew is 5 years younger than his wife. They have been married for 7 years. No problem.
Age doesn't really matter in love in such a sense. But I can't have anything to do with an under 18 year old person.

Age matters if the gap is a mile away like a man 26 and a woman 38. That is so ridiculous, however, it happened here in my place. The man was 25 and the woman 55 .She was our university librarian and the guy she married was her previous student assistant who became an electrical engineer because of her money.
