Does your company hire temporary employees?

Yes companies do that and mostly they are hired on temporary basis or for a probation period of six months

My company doesn't want to even hear the word part time. They want every worker to be full time. I don't know the reason behind that.

That's good but there is no part time at our office too and all are full time employees but when there is more work only then they hire temporary work force

Mine feels that part-time workers are not committed to the bigger goals of the organization. So they prefer to hire only people that would work full time and feel the company.

That's a good thing but what if your company gets a big order that needs to be completed in a small duration and the current man power is less?

You people would have to find a way and complete the task within the number of staff available even if it means working overtime. I have not experienced such before though. In my company, staff have powers. Management does not mess with staff.

As of the moment, the company is only hiring full time employees.
However, during February we have a program that needs more workers on the phones to answer or take orders for flower for the Valentine's day
They hire seasonal workers and sometimes if they see people with good performance, they will consider them yo join other programs as full time workers.

I know of some companies who hires untrained personals then during the process of training them, they work within the office until their time is up. Would you still consider this as temporary workers?

The company used to hire some temporary casual workers sometimes back but they really stopped that early this year.

Yes, contract based temporary employees are hired, but contract can be extended.

When I was in China, we used to outsource. Most factories tend to have this option especially if they are having deadlines.

The company that I worked with before deciding not to work under people anymore do hire temporary workers when there is offload of goods. It is these workers that will do the work.

Yes my present employer does that. He doesn't like to keep permanent employees because of the extra cost incurred on them so he likes to hire temporary workforce.
