Apps like Honeygain, is only worth it, if you have unlimited data to use every month, or you have a ton of active referrals to earn from.

There is another, called EarnApp. I've been advertising it as a referral item I am paying in the trade center. There are other data sharing app programs out there, which I am a member of too.
I used Honeygain a long time ago when I started with online earnings, then I had problems with certain online sites because they said I used VPN or that my ip was altered, I investigated and realized that it was because of Honeygain having to sell my bandwith to them, in the end I uninstalled it.
The antivirus generally blocks mining software for use of bcryptjs script for mining so it is considered as trojan or malware if you use malware bits or something like that so the mining programs doesn't work with antivirus and disable antivirus like throwing your sensitive data from the window.
But did you use it with your mobile data? If so, it does not really make sense because for the money they give you for what they consume you do not pay a quota of mobile data really, it is better if you use it with your domestic internet if you have.
I know this site. I tried it last year but the earnings were too slow and low for me, so I gave it up.
Honeygain is a waste of time except if you are using referrals to climb the earning ladder fast. I deleted the app from my phone when I have using the app for 4 months without making anything tangible. From my calculation, it will take me two years to reach withdrawal threshold.
Yes, i had the same experience to tell the truth i think is a sutil way to steal your band width and make you think that you would earn something decent there.
It is like any miner you mine for hours and receive some free cents that sometimes the internet data is so expensive so you cannot for example earn something reasonable and it exceeds the reward given by sharing your internet data. This is the sad truth.
The problem is that this service was altering me up to the IP and gave me connection problems on some online sites because they supposedly said I was using a proxy or VPN, in the end I had to uninstall it
May be because they reuse your unused internet data so they have some kind of proxy activated when using them so this is one reason and another reason may be they use your IP address for selling VPN services on another site and do same for users so pay users from VPN share IP.

I have unlimited data but when I tried to install it I received a warning from my anti virus so I didn't went for it
Honeygain could be a passive income sources for those who have free access to Wi-Fi.
