Both are important as finding new customers for business and retaining old one, because when we have business then on daily basis if we get new customers then it will be good for further growth and when we retain old one then it will keep stable our business.

I will always try to retain old customers, doing that will make them influence others and then new customers will always come, new customers may always choose to leave when they are not pleased without even saying anything.
That's right I agree with you. satisfaction old customers can attract new customers, because of word of mouth advertising they do. That's why I try my best to maintain customer loyalty.
