Florida Governor to ban CBDC

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is in the news in the crypto world for bringing a bill to the Florida legislature that bans CBDC, the only government-sponsored altcoin.

Governor Ron DeSantis claims the CBDC violates privacy and controls the finances of Americans. The bill DeSantis introduced has provisions that ban all CBD (including foreign CBD like Digital Yuan). This gives a boost to the bill.

CBDC is an attempt by government institutions to replica blockchain technology in financial institutions but it have not reached expectations. Whether CBDC was banned or not in United States is not a problem to crypto enthusiasts. Though, CBDC is advancing blockchain technology, it will be difficult for CBDC to overtake cryptocurrency.

I have also heard that the Federal Reserve will soon launch its token fedcoin as a pilot test of what could be the CBDC of the dollar, hopefully the country of the rods and the stars rejects this abomination

I've not heard of this before because the Central Bank digital currency is digital form of the fiat currency.

As far as I know, CBDC is a government created digital currency. IT is not crypto even though it might be based on blockchain technology. Digita; Yuan is Chinese CBDC.

I don't see anything wrong in the adoption of CBDC because it is not a cryptocurrency and it does not pose any threat.

The CBDC is a government-controlled currency and I don't see why it should be banned by the government.
