Gender Quota Bill in Norway

I am all for gender equality but women should understand that they are not the same with a man. A man tends to be in control of things. That's our biological make up.

The Norwegian government might have strong reasons why having this gender bill quota. It may suggest quality life of for the people and better work alliance with both males and females. It is an awesome bill .

And what if womens don't want work some job or can't? Here is example; heavy construction job. I know employer who wanted womens but they say it is to hard for them bring heavy objects. They could last few days and they would give up. What he will do in that case?

I think this bill is counter productive and will affect the economy and societal balance. A director position should be merited and should not be a gift. Norwegian government should not control some boundaries and impose unnecessary hitches in their private companies. There are companies been run by women and they are successful.

The truth is that men and women are physically and emotionally different. We have to integrate this differences while we are advocating for gender equality. Women should be given equal opportunities in the work place though

The gender quota bill is very important and it's necessary to have such a bill in place for women to also have a say in governance.

But realistically speaking, women are more favoured than men in the workplace. By virtue of their being the weaker vessel, they are given modified conditions that is always simpler for them.

The Norwegian government is preparing a bill for gender quota in large private companies. This bill forces companies to have boards that include at least 40% of women, this is mandatory and company will be shut down.

I support the motion. We should not encourage any policy that is supporting gender discrimination. Women equally have same rights as men. That is why they should not be downgraded.

It's a good idea to promote gender equality. But I think there is no need to make it mandatory. The appointment of personnel should be based on qualifications, experience and capabilities.

This is exactly what is been preached all over the world and engaging in it is really encouraging.

Well, in my own opinion I will prefer being competitive over quota system. Encouraging competition from both women and men is very important to get the best out of them.

Gender quota bill is not functional only in Norway, it is also operating in Nigeria. Our women are not limited to kitchen chores anymore. They have been allowed to participate actively in all human endeavors. They can be found in government, politics, commerce, entertainment etc.

Passing such kind of bill iis very profitable and it is better to allow for gender equality in governance.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with it as long as those ladies will always contribute what they are expected to do and not think that because they are ladies they will be getting preferential treatment.
