Bargaining in Nigeria when trying to buy a thing is very important . Because even the sellers will expect this from you. if you don't you get cheated and bug the item at a higher price. I haggle a lot with sellers and have a good buy at the end of the day as I would be buying at a far lesser price. Do you practice this in your country?
It really depends on the kind of market that you are going to buy products which you would have the opportunity to bargain on prices before you buy it because if you go to supermarket to buy such products, there is no negotiation of price.

Yes haggling depends on thekind of market that one is going to buy from. This mostly happens in the open market because with the supermarket it is buying the price tag on it

it is good to haggle price especially in my country Nigeria because if not you would be cheated by the sellers as they expect you to haggle to the minimum price

This is a common practice in my home country. The businesses are so worried about haggling that they have started to display fixed price sign in their stores. However, customers still haggle for price reduction.

In Nigeria, we believe in haggling. A Nigerian children of 6 years has already gotten the skill of haggling and would price you amazingly..

It is only going to be a complete waste of time for someone to go to the supermarket and start asking for prices of product to be reduced because it can never be done.

How many Nigerians actually buy basic things in the supermarkets? Very few. The majority of them buy their stuff from the open market where they can haggle

I for one can haggle for Africa. You can cheat me with your price and this is a common practice in my country for nearly everyone. I don't like anything fixed price Lol

The situation is very similar in my country too. The sellers would start with the highest price first and they too expect you to bargain to a certain concensus that you can finally pay for the product.
