Have you ever asked for donation to raise your website operational cost?

In my early days of blogging, I used to ask for donations in order to raise website maintenance costs. I had enabled paypal donate button and crypto donate button to collect donations. However, these days I do not use that method even though I think there is nothing wrong in asking for donations as you are providing free content. What about you?

I have never ask for donation because I feel am still a newbie in blogging and my traffic have not come to a point of such solicitations.

I don't own a big business website or professional website yet, so can't really say anything as regards to this.

I don't think it would be very sound for the reputation of your site. It is better you talk to some few members privately for such assistance than making it public.

It is never been something I have tried. If I ever decide to launch another website, I might consider adding a "donate" button.

I don't own a website so I have never asked people to donate. Even if I have a website I would never asked people to donate.

It is kind of difficult for people to find a need to donate to sites. Only very few sites have enjoyed that.

It is not anything abnormal to ask for donations to help a site meet it's costs. People that get value from a site should feel at ease donating to the site.

I do not have a website and if i did, i doubt i would have ever asked for donations to raise the website operational cost. I believe i would have sourced for funds somewhere else.

For now l don't own any website. However l have never seen anyone requesting a donation for the website expenses.

My website is still dormant but I will not ask for a donation, lol. I have to finance it by myself little by little.
