High school kids, to work as a gasoline boy, good or bad?

I noticed there are high school students working as gasoline boy. I interviewed one and he said, he wants to help his parents. I wanted to oppose him because he is just 17 years old and he is burdened with responsibility. His duty is supposed to study hard, finished a course, and find a better job, but this young boy is the opposite. He works as a gasoline boy. It is so unfair to this young boy, but he is happy with what he is doing. What can you say?

If they are in legal age, there is nothing wrong to work like this. In fact, my uncle used to be a gasoline boy before.

They could be poor or the kids may not be interested in studies but these days many people want their kids to work too and study so they can pay for their expenses

The kids I interviewed are studying. They served as a gasoline boy at 4 to 6. They earn 150 pesos for 2 hours working.

Agree they work even as a dishwasher just to have extra money. Kids also have their favorite stuff they want to but parents won't allow so they work part time.

There are many ways to earn money and I think kids can choose the way they prefer

Kids also know some tricks to earn. It's better that way than take illegal drugs.

Yes its legal and they should be allowed to earn and stay independent and will become more responsible with time

They only work part time. My cousins in USA work 4 jobs and their kids 1 jobs 1 hour per job only but for mature 8 hours.

Yes the pay rate is also good but in our parts only those work that are middle class or poor

Yes only those poor kids doing this the rich kids never do earnings. They're dependent to their parents.

It's the tradition in western countries and our people should learn and see if our kids can do the same so this way they will be working at a young age and can become entrepreneurs some day and will be an asset to the society

Kids in Ph not all are allowed due to peace and order problem. Crimes soar here under the new administration unlike during the term or Duterte.

Let's just tell kids to listen to their parents and to live within their means.

For me it's not good kids to work they have to read books and study their lessons and do homework.

It's ok and yes kids need to work but I am of the view that we need not pressurize kids and if they don't like to study or they are not so good then better to let them have fun

Kids need play too with their peers. They need to socialize and be rational young beings.
