We do need to know our target market. In this way, we can able to provide their needs. The innovative products or services will be modified if knowing what the customers' needs. Advertisement is one of the vehicles to promote them.

I understand your analogy but any business that doesn't grow is not worth being a business. When you have stabilized your existing customer base, it is safe to try and find new customers
