How do you deal with one with huge ego

Some people have huge or bloated ego that gets in the way of true friendship. Do you have a friend like this , how do you deal with it.

I have a friend that loves to boast. He is a terrible liar. Since I learn about this his bloated ego, once he start boasting, I will be nodding in acceptance and praising him. Immediately, I find any available means, I will leave him and get some fresh air.

LoL you know them too well. They are always lying to keep up with their imaginary competitors. I can't just deal.
