That depends on the nature of the job. For a trainee position, the potentials of the applicant is more important than working experience. However, for more senior positions, both experience and potentials should be taken into consideration.

Some select there workers based on education qualification but I don't see it as the best way because sometimes they don't know about the job. So it is best to hire them based on what they know about the job

To select workers the first step is to post job vacancies according to the required qualifications, then a selection of psychological tests, interview tests and medical tests is held. During the interview test while being watched, choose employees who have good morals to pass to the medical test.

I don't value those paper qualifications. The world has moved away from it. It's now about what you can do. If you are applying as an IT person, you have to build a network as your interview before we employ you.

To be fair in this, one has to consider both the potential and experience in picking workers for the company or organization as if you want to stick to only experience then a lot of young lads would be out of job that are having the potential to do the job.

Workers should be selected based on the level of skill and what they've got to deliver results for the company.
I think one of the major criteria for selecting employees should be their level of experience. People who are very much experienced in that business line will likely deliver the needed results.

In a matter of fact the workers should be selected according to the experience they posses on the related subjects, the level of competency and their abilities towards the job to be done.

My business is very small, rather average business, I just hang a note on my shop as I need workers. People do come and I ask some basic and fixed questions with them then do enquiry about their reputation and then select them.
