How many characters or words in a post to get paid?

I have noticed that many members are making very short posts and their balance is increasing. I would like to find out whether the rules have changed, and less characters or words are required to get paid?

I am not sure if there is a minimum for thread responses. However, longer posts are encouraged in order to keep this community going.

I think that admin told that this thing is under review but still they didn't finalized it. There will be mandatory words per post.

This is correct. As of right now, there is no limitations.

However, it is under review, and being discussed. There is an announcement thread that has asked the community what they think would be fair.
