When you hold incessant meetings, meeting as an event would lose value. Meetings should only be called when there are general issues that needs to be addressed to everyone. Not for independent issues.

To held meetings depend on a company's situation or operation. In sales, it is common to held a meeting every Monday. It is how the higher-up will ask their commitment for the week and remindng them the quota needed in company's sales.
Too much of everything isn't good in my opinion. I believe that meetings should be held at most twice in a month.

The appropriate frequency of meetings in a company can vary widely depending on the organization's size, culture, and specific needs. However, some general guidelines are:

1.Daily: Daily meetings, such as brief stand-up or scrum meetings, are common in some agile and fast-paced development environments. They are meant for quick updates and issue resolution.

2.Weekly: Weekly meetings are common in many organizations to discuss progress, address challenges, and set goals. This frequency often strikes a balance between communication and productivity.

3.Bi-weekly or Every Other Week: For some teams or committees, bi-weekly meetings are appropriate, providing more time for preparation and work between meetings.

4.Monthly: Monthly meetings are suitable for some less time-sensitive discussions or when there is a need for more substantial progress or reports between meetings.

5.Quarterly or Annually: These less frequent meetings may be reserved for high-level strategic planning, financial reporting, or annual reviews.

Ultimately, the right meeting frequency depends on the organization's specific requirements and should be designed to balance effective communication with not overburdening employees with unnecessary meetings. Regularly assess the need for meetings and adjust their frequency as needed to ensure they remain productive.

In my workplace, our boss calls only once a month meeting. There is no reason why hold a meeting daily or weekly. But I noticed there are marketing offices that hold a meeting daily to orient the sales force on what to do and what they would do.
