It's very tricky to answer the question that you have asked. I was reading the comments and it made me smile. And one thing was quite clear from all these comments that everyone wants money more than what they actually need.
I guess I will never be in a position to answer how much.. because the socio-economic conditions and inflation are not constant. But yes, I am pretty clear that " What all" I need to be financially free or independent..I am happy that I am financially independent.

Truth be told i do not have a specific amount, i believe it's safe to say there is no price tag as to how much i would need to be financially free. As long as i have enough to get what i want when i want it, then am good to go.

Then you would be busy spending them.. That huge amount won't set you free, you might not feel free despite having that much amount at hand. You will be occupied with the thoughts of how to spend them or make use of them.

I think I need to own an apartment which is mortgage free, plus some cash savings and investment. Don't know the exact amount, but should be enough for me to get proper medical care, buy whatever I need and take a leisure trip once in a while.
