Gas retail outlets buy gas in big cylinders from depots and resell it to final consumers. As we all know, cooking gas is very important for our survival. To set up such a business, safety measures are to be put in place and licenses obtained.

It is a lucrative business though. How much would it take to set to up the business in your country?

It is not really capital intensive in my country. You need licenses though but it is not difficult. It is not as if one would have a gas plant. Just buy in quantity and retail.

This business is capital intensive and if you want to start the business you will need a good license authorization it's stressful but if you can withstand those stress you will reap the benefits at the end of the day

If you are talking about a cooking gas then the coast for setting a gas retail business coast from 100,000 to 350,00 ETB but this is only to fill the tanker and sell it, but if you want to produce the gas it needs a lots of money.

I am not sure because I have not been involved with gas retailing business. However, I believe if you sell cooking gas in cylinders, it does not cost much to start. But if you are selling gas for automobile, you will have to spend a lot of money

This is not my type of business, but many like this and I am so sure this is a good business for many use gas. They only need the right location visible to the buyers.
