One thing I would always salute my ex boss is that he never shouted on any staff. He would call you aside and tell you that the thing you are doing is not good..

That's what I love doing. I don't talk to my staff or rebuke him openly. I call him inside and talk to him. It is called man management.

Giving constructive criticism is fine when it comes to making employees to be better. It needs to be done in a professional way. As much as possible, they need to have the data to prove one's point.

This is what all bosses should know they need to express all anger words in a private environment or better still a one-to-one talk . They need to focus on the problem of the situation, not the person.

There is nothing wrong when correcting others. But, we need to be sensitive when telling them. A constructive criticism is the best option when dealing this kind of situation. I do accept this kind of criticism.

To criticize an employee constructively, an employer should focus on pinpointing a particular mistake, as opposed to attacking the worker. Such course of action would be beneficial to both parties as it would prompt an employee to implement the necessary rectifications.

As much as possible, let your criticism of the worker be done in private. You completely demoralize and embarrass a staff when you criticize him or her in public. Many employees are guilty of this.
