Is anyone doing transcription work?

Is any member of this forum doing transcription work? If yes, do you get transcription work directly from clients or do you get it from a website? If yes can you share the name of the website?

I do transcription work. I get the work directly from the site. I am on Scribie ,way with words and casting words. I was on TranscribeMe but the audios there are are to hard to transcribe not to mention the exam, it took me a long time to pass the entrance exam. I have recently enlisted my transcription services on Upwork but i haven't managed to land a transcription job. On Upwork you apply for transcription work but the pay is really good.

As long as you have internet, simple headsets and a place to work with no disturbance you are fine. I heard that some.people use certain softwares to help them transcribe faster.

I actually use the headset that came with my phone. I have never bought any special.typenof headsets. They work just fine. I think any type.of headset is ok because it's just audio that you listen to.

I heard that it is possible with the sites like Scribie, TranscribeMe, etc. I prefer working as a medical transcriptionist, but cannot find the right company.

At first, I was so interested with this kind of job. However, I cannot work with them if I need to work after midnight in my country. It is not what I wanted and still want to live to the fullest and not to be slaved by it.

Even if you dedicate some time to learning it from youtube, it will not be professional like someone that has studied it at the university, to be frank. You did not learn most things there.

Frankly speaking I don't do transcription work. I have heard and even read from forums and posts that the venture pays so well but not yet gained any skill set for doing it.

Transcription websites does pay really well so if you are part of it then keep sticking with it as there are not many wens that pay better than that and humanistic is one such website.

I tried humanatic but it pays very little time the extent of not making the job worthless your time. I decided to leave the site without signing up to the site.

I used to be a part of QA World. The test was easy so I passed. However, the quality of their audio is quite terrible. They are hard to understand so I left after a month.

That is exactly the way l saw in another transcription site that I attempted. I could not be in the position to understand whatever they were conversing in the first place leave alone putting down in text

You are on point with this concern. I do think that we need to be educated and be well-skilled. If do have this education, everything is possible in venturing things in this world.

It is at this point where education and skills set comes in place. There are so many better transcription opportunities out there across the web that pay relatively well for the skilled and educated on the field.

I do agree that people can land to a job like transcriptionist if they were educated. They have all the chances to grab the opportunities with this kind of field, either online or offline.
