Is crude oil investment better than gold investment?

Crude oil is one of the most lucrative investments out there and the same goes for investing in Gold. Most big shots usually invest in gold or oil or in most cases both. Between the two investments which do you think produces more profit? And between the two which is more easier to invest in? I noticed a lot of persons invest in crude oil more.

In my country people cannot invest in crude oil, because oil is controlled by state companies or foreign companies that work with the government, if we want to invest in oil companies we can only buy their shares on the stock exchange.

I do not know how to invest in crude oil. Probably in my location, you can only buy stocks of oil companies. I have invested in gold. I buy physical gold coins from time to time.

I think gold and crude oils are some of the least risky investments as the demand is always growing and the supply is limited (because of mining and drilling limitations imposed by international bodies).
