A friend of my currently owns and operates two online football betting shop which he is running by so many people that he employed to take care of the business for you on daily basis and he's making good money from it.
The case of that your friend is different from what I mean. He only has a shop that other people will come to place there bet. Of course he will earn either they win or lose. But I am talking about those that play the game

For bookmakers and casino owners, yes but for users, NO. Gambling and betting can never be a source of income and is a hobby. There will be days when you lose maybe 5 games in a row

The most important thing is that they are able to find a way to be making money from it and not losing all the time because if they don't make money from it, they will never keep doing it all the time.
All businesses have profit and loss and that's a natural thing, but gambling is like if you win once you lose 3 times. Football betting cannot be considered a business in any way

In my views this is not a business and finally the end result will be in loss, because you cannot predict that which team will win the match and we have seen so many upsets in the matches so why should we take risk?

Really sports betting should never be seen as a business or a reliable source of income because in the end it is chance and bookmakers play with the odds so that they are generally against you, I would not recommend venturing into gambling with thoughts of making it a business
