IJP is Internal Job Posting and this is how companies allow their staff to get promotion to a higher post when there is a vacancy. I think it's a great way but not all companies employ this method.

Yes! A lot of companies do it to benefit staffs who have contributed to the company growth and those staff that have experience in the operations of the company. It helps to better the company and staffs simultaneously.

It's a useful way to promote the deserving employees but some of the private companies find a way to exploit employee this way you too by not paying them less than the salary fixed for the said post.

it is for the good of both the employee and the employer so it is worth adopting but the thing is that only qualified people should be used for this

To be honest, I am not aware of this method. This is very good. I think that all companies should use this method.

I'm not sure this is something that is familiar in my country because majorly the way people get promoted in my country is through having a higher level of certificate.

This is what I am noticing in my present job but I have seen this trend in other companies where they utilize Internal job posting as a way to promote employees internally

I am not sure though but I doubt this company in particular is popular here in Nigeria. But i do know there are other companies and agencies that also offers this kind of service.

Its one of the popular processed followed by big companies, multinational companies as this way they are allowing their inner force to do better

In my location, some companies do have this practice which I think is good for both the employer and the employee. The employer can save money and effort in hiring and training new staff. It is also good for employees who perform well. It is an opportunity for them to work in another capacity or get promoted to a more senior position.

The reason why I resigned with my previous company becaue they did not do this IJP. The promise was broken when they hired some people outside. My colleagues and I were insulted when they have done this.
