I think it is better to rent in case the business cycle changes, the business can easily move out of that particular city or region.

Its very profitable to operate the business on your own premises and piece of land the reason behind that being landlords often charge higher rental charges on the buildings.

I too agrees with you on that. When you operate the business on a rented space, you are likely to spend much than operating the business on your own space. When you calculate the rent that you pay in a year the money can buy and build the space.

Buying the business space would be the best decision ever to make. That would enable the business to acquire more assets which can be very useful for the future of the business.
