I think it is a standard practice to give 13th month pay of a company. However, small-scale businesses cannot do this even it is a standard rule.

There is no giving of a cash gift at my work place. It is normal to be always on time and no absences . We will be deducted if there are absences.

We also have deductions in the salary if our leave it exceeds from casual and other leaves which company provides.
