Is it healthy to work for a company with shifting schedules?

This scenario is common in call center companies, manufacturers, etc. Personally speaking, I cannot work in these companies due to possible affectation of my health. I did try to work in a call center agent before, but I quit after a month. One of my co-agents continued and died. Why? He acquired pneumonia for working as a call center agent.

It depends on the type of work on the duration of the work. I feel once you have enough time to rest and the work is not affecting your health in anyway you can do the swift job. In any kind of job one need to be concern with his or her health first

I personally do not like to work on shift. But there are many jobs which require people to work on a shift schedule. Those working in call centers, restaurants, convenient stores or newspaper publishing business need to work on shift.

I can do a swift job if the job plays well and it is not going to affect my health. If I have to choose when to work, I will prefer working in the day because working at night will still tell on your body

If you work in manufacturing companies, you would be accostumed with shifting schedules. That is the practice there. You don't expect workers working from morning and continue till night especially in companies that produce 247.
Shifting schedule has to be done. Workers tend to replace each other at the termination of their time. I don't see anything wrong in it.

As someone who likes to be in a routine and hates it when I am out of routine as it causes me a lot of stress, a job with shifting schedules would not be ideal for me at all and would instead be something I would much rather avoid.

Some people though do not mind shifting schedules and can do these kinds of jobs as long as they know in advance when their shift will be.

I don't have any problems with working in such a company jobs are done in shifts. Arrangements are always made to inform staffs when they are working or not.

Most company have shifts and you can easily get use to it. It can't be so big problem. I guess your coworker didn't die because of shifting schedule than from other reasons.

I tried to work in a call center company once. It is not really for me because of the shifting schedules. So, I tried my best to refrain from working with companies like this.

It all boils down to the individual. The question is can you do it? One person might not be able to, but the next person would want to do it.

I prefer shift jobs if I have to work. It affords me an opportunity to be flexible on your work schedules. That can help to meet up with other engagements in real life.

As long as the staff is getting his salary or payments whenever they are due, I don't see anything that is wrong with working for such company.

Yes there's nothing unhealthy about running shift it is even better as long as you are getting your payments whenever it id due, which is the most important thing now.
