Is it legal to pet a peacock at your place?

Peacocks being so beautiful attracts people. Many of people think if they may be able to keep them as a pet. But here in India it's not legal because it's our national bird. Although they are friendly and once you start feeding them daily they will live at your place only. Are peacocks kept as a per at your place? How much it the cost?

Near home, there is a small zoo and one of the animals kept there is a peacock for people's attraction. The owner earns per entry but it did not last long as the pandemic strikes the world. o far, I have not seen that huge bird. There are many tourists coming to see the actual appearance of the peacock. This time, that mini zoo is temporarily closed. We do not know where they keep the peacock.

Since they are not popular in my country to have peacocks, so it is not an issue. If the locals want to pet them, they need to have the permit of doing so.

Yeah a lot of people here kerp peacock hete as their birds. They groom them to become very big and delightful I like their colorful nature.

Yeah, they are very much elegant than chickens, about their feathers I love it when they are proud.lol but a peacock is not a best friend when pissed their beak is sturdy enough to leave a deep hole. They aren't flightless as chickens .

I have not seen a peacock in real only in TV and videos. I was thinking peacock is quarrelsome.

I have been them in real in my village but not here in the city. They are seen only on the farms, maybe they like more trees and open land, not the buildings all around. Peahens are not as beautiful as peacocks.

You might be right, peacocks like to live in grassy lands, shady trees, and near a river. I am not so sure if peacocks swim,

Even I don't know if it's able to swim as I have never seen them swimming in a river. But they like rain, you will see them dancing when it rains. When it's about to rain they scream with delight loudly.

I will be very happy to see a peacock dancing in happiness. Upload it in a video channel of someone and get your share from people watching it. It surely becomes viral or keeps that video and wait for the time you will own a YouTube channel.

I think it's legal in my country though you have to follow some legal procedures from the relevant authorities for you to be approved on petting a peacock.

I am not in plan to open my channel on YouTube as I don't have the time to make videos. I know it's a great way to earn money but what can be done when you don't have the time to grab the opportunity.

I agree with you, time is required to create good-to-see videos. You also need characters to portray, plus preparation to monetize it.

I am also not skilled in it, I need time to learn about monetisation and other things to earn from youtube or to start anything new. But that's for sure I will upload the dancing peacock once I see it.
