Is it legal to pet a peacock at your place?

We don't see them here in our city. They are seen more in the villages where there are trees.

It's generally not legal to pet peacocks in my area. Peacocks are often protected under wildlife conservation laws, and interfering with them can disrupt their natural habitat.

In our country, Peacock is considered wild bird and it is illegal to keep wild birds as pets. However, this rule goes unnoticed and I see many people keeping peacock.

Am not sure though cause we don't have them rooming around the streets. I believe we can only find one in the zoo.

For sure l can't say that l am not sure about that. That is because l have never saw anyone petting the peacock before.

I only remember seeing one when I visited the zoo many years ago. I did not pet it because I was afraid it would get scared, and I was not sure if it was even permitted.

In my country it's very hard to find the peacock. I don't think whether the government allows that.

I think it is but very rare people have it. I don't know anybody in wider area except in zoos.
