For me l can say no to that. That's because l oftenly see so many people being employed outside of the career path on most workplaces in my country.

You have a point. The more work you do, the payment should compensate it. It is unfair if it is not well-compensated.

Yes, this was also part of the reasons I quit my last job. I was working multiple positions, working extra time and most times extra days but my pay was extremely low.

I think salary should match with the kind of work you do. If the job requires expertise, the worker should be paid higher.
