Customers also observe the services rendered by the store staff or owner. If they are not interdating them, customers feel discouraged and leave the store right away. I also experienced it, it seems the store people did not see me and my companions though there were no other customers, we transferred to the opposite store.
I have left the store on some of my visits when the tables and chairs are not tidied up. And whenever there is a long queue. I don't like waiting very long. I don't like the idea of them only opening one cashier/register.

I am also doing the same. I am so impatient if the line is too long and cashier only one and very slow.

Yes, they are waiting for the customers to pile up and yet they don't open another cashier. And when we look around there are many employees inside the store. Some are not assisting. Who to blame there? The managers on duty right?

I think they need to be replaced in order for that business to profit more according to their services. There are people in sales lacking orientation. They have to be oriented daily and be reminded everyday before starting to work.

Managers need to be coaches in the sidelines so that they can direct employees. In the moment coaching is important. Look at basketball or volleyball coaches, they are on the sidelines reminding their people what to do after a point lose.

Human Resources are on standby for sure. But the first step should be from the supervisors and managers. If they don't follow their action plans to improve their services, writing them up should involve the HR.

That would surely resolve the problems in big stores or malls for example. I always observed sales ladies hiding somewhere when customers are coming in and out. They forgot they are paid therefore, they have to perform their job's descriptions.
