PIG farming is now becoming rampart in Nigeria. It seems people have just realized the potential in it. What is amusing is that people of different faith denomination are invving in it. We are told pigs are prolific in nature as a result, you could easily become successful in it. How true is this in your country?.

1 can not see pig farming on the city where I live and even in nearby towns. Pig farming is banned in the city and nearby places. It's because of the smell. People will file a petition. Pig farming is situated so far away from residents.

If you understand how to take care of the pigs, then it is a very good business.
Piggery is very profitable. A lot of people are consuming pork meat now. Moreover, pigs doesn't need much stress to keep. They are omnivorous and can eat anything.
In my country, pig farming is a very profitable business because people like eating pork meat very much. It is also very cheap here.
Not anymore. Before in my area every home had few pigs for personal needs and extra for sell. Now food for pigs is to expensive and cheap meat from import lowered price. It is now only good if you want quality food since import food have bad quality but for earning it is bad.
Hong Kong is a financial city. We have less than 45 farms in rural area. In fact, about 90 percent of the city's food supply is imported, mainly from China. Though pork is a popular food here, production of pork is low. We mainly rely on imports.
If in my country where the majority of the population is a Muslim, pig farming might be less profitable. Unless he does it in an area where the majority of the population is not Muslim who are used to consuming pork.
This is one of the most lucrative agricultural ventures. Even if you don't want to grow out, you can just be breeding as it is very prolific in giving birth. It shouldn't be a main business though. Just a side hustle.
