Is promoting local talents a good and profitable business?

In the old days, my friends and I organized an event or concert that showcased the talents of different choirs in Manila. I must say that it is profitable like your adventure in promoting talents before.

I promoted local talents. I owned Diamond Promotions in the city and in the entire region in Mindanao. I had much money for that business. I stopped it because I have talents that liked to abuse me, so I stopped it and they lost popularity.

Promoting talents can be a lucrative business. But it also requires quite a lot of investment. I have a friend working in a record company. The company promotes new singers regularly. Other than polishing their singing skills, they have specialist to develop the image of the singers. A fan club is created to attract target audience. They also upload videos of the new songs on YouTube; arrange the singers to appear on TV and interviewed by magazines.

This is actually a lucrative business but while investing in these young talents, it would be best you make sure they are actually worth investing in and can generate profit for you.

Yes, it was also a very exciting business. I have 10 band groups and 8 vocal singers. They were so good and famous in the entire region. I stopped it purposely when one band vocalist courted me and forced me to accept his proposal I was 21 years old when I started this business promoting local talents. The guy was so handsome and manly hehehe but he already has 2 girlfriends. He was a womanizer.

@rubesh, yes you're so right my friend. The sponsors bought the tickets in return they will be advertised on TV and newspapers local. Tickets are good as sold. If they won't come to dine while watching, the foods will be distributed to the crew and band members.

Thank you so much my dear hehe. I inherited the talents from my father. He was a retired military official and head of the band in their infantry division. My dad taught me how to play bass, guitar, and trombone. It is a pleasure meeting you too here in RIF.

I promoted local talents before and found this business lucrative. What makes it lucrative? There are many sponsors responsible for selling the tickets for every show. Those ticket buyers dined while watching the live concert good for two (2) hours show. I usually hold concerts with a live band in our city and nearby towns. There is a talent fee for a band good for all members. They just shared among them the talent fee. There are also actual buyers. Per ticket price was at P 400 pesos. Tickets distributed to sponsors were good as sold. In return, they were advertised on TV, on FM stations, and in local magazines. You may try this business. If you are a true lover of music and have good local talents, then, why not try this business? The name of my business or promotion was DIAMOND PROMOTION.

It is a very good business. If the person is able to manage those who have the talents, he or she will make money.

You are so right, but there are risks, especially the sponsors who are not paying for the tickets that are considered sold. But it seldom happened the time I sponsored the local talents.

Another risk is that the talent manager may rip the talent owner of his money so they should be careful

Yes, I made a huge profit despite it's risky for there are sponsors that do not pay. I just apply what I could do to pay the local talents and the rent for the venue.

There's always risk in any kind of business that you're into. The same thing can also be said for this investing in local talents too.
