Is Running a Paid-to-Post Forum Profitable?

Today, I ask a unique and somewhat funny question (considering that I am asking this on a PTP Forum) - do you guys think it is profitable to invest time and effort in creating a PTP Forum online? I believe the way RIF is being run, is truly remarkable and I would believe that this should be the standard for anyone looking to create and run a PTP Forum. I am hoping maybe the RIF team could chime into our discussion here too - that would be very interesting!

Ohh, I don't really know much about setting up and running a forum site but then I think if it isn't profitable then it won't be in existence , but still all requires hardwork and consistency to build the forum to it's maximum just like RIF.

If you have enough funds to pay the members for at least 6 months, you might start earning from your paid to post site. However, to keep forum running for at least 6 months without good revenue stream is a costly affair.

Yes it can be but it's not easy you need to think about many things like will you afford paying members when create rules etc it not easy that's why there are not a lot pay to post forums

Well as a matter of fact, I a just starting to make use of paid to post sites and do not know how the owners of the sites do run it and earn their money but from the insight that I have about it is that they do get paid too from ads they run and the traffic created on the sites.

That actually makes a lot of sense. And yes, definitely - running a paid-to-post forum is no easy task, which is why RIF stands far above the rest, due to its amazing management.

It's a hard thing to manage a Pay to post forum and I don't see one person managing these so you need a team which should include moderators so you need to pay them too.

I really do not know but one thing i do know is that it would not be easy to run one. It also has it risks involved with it as well.

I know its profitable but for that you need to run the forum for a long time and should look for quality to get most traffic and ads revenue as that will help the website to grow

Unless the forum owner finds new ways to monetize the traffic which he has, he has to depend to a large extent on the advertising rates and ad networks. If the ad network pays less, he will make a loss. Data mining is also another way to make money.

It is very profitable if you know your way. Let us take the owner of beermoneyforum as an example, the person must have made a lot of money because there was a time he gave testimony

yes I believe it can work but it would be quite hard first you have to have high capital you need moderators etc and more at first you need to pay for your own pocket but in the end you can make good money

Yes it takes time but I believe if you manage it and promote it well it can be the next big thing I love PTP forums and I really want to be more of them but sadly there aren't many at this moment

I think its profitable to run but the profit may not arrive on first day and we need to be patient because it will take 4-5 months minimum to wait for revenue
