I must say that it is a good business to have a store, especially if the neighborhood is too far away from the town proper. Having condiments and other things in a small store. It is common in our country. Making salts is not feasible if the business owners are not near the beach.
But the salt making is not allowed in the beach. They have to find a place near a seashore where no one is blocked by the salt makers., They need a wider space so they have to choose a location far from people.

Yes, it's a good business for salt making business lovers. I saw them making this during college during our research. We gathered data how to process salt. They need to pour salt water onto cemented patio. When the water dried up it converted into salt. It's so shite and clean.

The richest black man in the world has salt making as one of his businesses. Everyone one consumes salt and if one can create a good brand around salt, it would surely fly.

How many salt producers are actually processing their salt from sea water?. I don't know of other countries, but in Nigeria, salt is extracted from rocks and as such its proceeding is costly.
And the demand for salt despite its essentiality as seasoning is limited no matter the price. It is a commodity whose demand is not affected by prices.

My only concern about the idea of deriving salt from sea water is that this process would involve the consumption of high amounts of electric power. This would drive the cost of the product up, thus preventing many poor people from accessing this basic commodity.

Or, is there a different method of extracting salt from sea water?

In fact, we are worried if running out of salt hehehe. One time, I realized we ran out of salt at home, so I bought a soy cause in the nearest store. How nice to have a small store.

This is actually the reason why I always do my grocery shopping every two weeks so that I will not find myself in a situation whereby I am going to be out of a particular thing that I will need to cook with.

Humans need salt. It contains a potassium but we have to apply salt in moderation for too much use of it is bad for our kidney systems. It's better be safe than sorry.

Salt making is obviously profitable, but it required an accurate arrangement, once we get control on it we can pack and sell. For selling we can reach to direct customers as well as we can sell to shopkeepers also.

There is no how humans beings will not consume salt in a day even though too much of everything is not good. It is good for us so we buy it everyday which makes it lucrative

Salt contains potassium needed by the body and its absence of it weakens the human body, however, too much of destroys the body through its kidney. It creates kidney stones. Better apply salt to foods in a few granules only not by spoon.

The answer is absolutely it is profitable. The answer is plain and simple, seawater is free, and no reason why you cannot profit high unless you spend on a small scale then you can expect your profit small also. Start on a big scale and your profit is most likely bigger than you expect it to be. It is said that a 3-ounce jar is priced at $10, so you can expect a big return. As long as humans use sea salt then this business is nonstop.

The sea salt industry is getting bigger because of the demands and every household, expect table salt. We can taste food better without salt. Once owning a business like this, you can sell it by jar, wholesale, or retail. We can find salt sellers anywhere in small sore, big stores, malls, and shops. It is a human need, there is salt for every dining. This year, the revenue has been forecasted to increase to $1.5 billion. It is indeed a profitable business.

But before you think about this business, make sure you are knowledgeable about how to process or manufacture salt. Will you be using the rock salt mining, the brine evaporation, or the white salt production? You must also know about the health facts of salt. Every gram of salt, it s made up from 40 per cent sodium and 60 per cent chlorine and they both play a vital part in keeping our body functioning. Let us not forget that too much salt is also not good.
I didn't think about this earlier and that's because I have no knowledge of salt manufacturing process but I believe it's something one can learn either from industries producing salt or from individuals who are into it

That's right I agree with you. We can't get away from salt, even for sweet-tasting foods we need a little salt. So I think it's a profitable business and continue to be sustainable.

Salt making is a good business. It is one of essential and inevitable commodity. The only disadvantage of this business is that it s not a business that commands high demand in the market. It has a limited demands and it's demand is not influenced by price. No matter the price.

That's a problem if you lack skills in doing this but you can hire a business partner who lives near the sea. You can have 50/50 profit sharing. It will not be hard though if there's a partner knowledgeable on salt making.

Salt sells almost like sachet water. you would always make sales when it comes to salt selling
so producing it for sales wouldn't come with high failure even as a beginner.

Yes, we need salt, we can't eat properly if the food is tasteless but too much of it food cannot also be swallowed. Apply only some granules to food. Since humans need salt therefore it's a very good business.
