Is seliing/ Registration of Sim Cards profitable?

I see young boys doing the business of selling sims and registering the sims. I wanted to ask if it is profitable enough to sustain someone. Most of those guys just do that business alone.

It is in Nigeria that is a profitable business because Nigerians use to make everything absolutely difficult that you must bribe your way to get what you suppose to get free. Some registration suppose to be free without hassles but you can't get done for you without paying through your nose.

Selling of sim cards is not that profitable in my country now. However, the government is asking the locals to register the sim card users now.

It is a very profitable business. That's because these sim cards are almost given freely to all those agents. They now take it and sell for the subscribers. It is profitable.

I heard that the business was very profitable some years ago. But nowadays everything is politicised in my country and there's nothing like good profits in the business any longer.

For us in Nigeria, the introduction of National Identification Number killed the business. So many networks made the conditions for getting sim card very stringent.

I do not know about your place, but in my home country, it is no longer profitable. it is really difficult to make a decent profit by selling SIM cards

I believe that the location where you set up this business is what is going to determine how lucrative or how much profit you will be making from it on daily basis.

It is profitable but I don't think it is a highly profitable business because the money they are making me not be enough for them

I do not really know how much does who do it earn from it, but i do know there are lots of persons who are into it. So i am guessing they are also making money from it.

Selling sim alone may not be so profitable but it is better if you can combine it with something else like selling recharge cards, rendering POS service and some other related things

It is very correct that I have seen a lot of people doing it and if it is not lucrativ, they will not venture in it.

We can't do that in my country. Only authorized seller can. You can buy from them and resell it under higher price but nobody will buy since authorized sellers are everywhere.

If you consider the fact that people don't buy sims ebeyday. Some buy once in 3 years. So, it is possible that one can stay three days without selling even one sim.
