In Nigeria teachers are paid peanuts for all the job you would be doing as a teacher and it's really appalling. What's it like for your country?

I am working as teacher for 7 years. Salary is good (if you have bigger family, than it is not) but lately my principal includes us in many project so we have non paid overtime. From that reason I am consider change school. Job as job is not bad only in some cases parents do big pressure on grades at end of year.

If you ask them if they'll like to be teachers they will all say never. They can see the situation of things too.

Many people like be teachers but demand is to high and you can't do your work properly. Constant changes without purpose, paperwork, pressure from parents, kids without interest, low salary force you to go away.

Although all of us would agree that teachers should be one of the highest paid in any country but teaching job is of the worst job you will regret doing in Nigeria. Teachers are not respected at all and most time the government don't even pay their salaries at the right time.

Its more like a service and not a job but yes in India they make more as they are also involved in giving tuition classes to students but its a noble profession

Same as here. Although teaching is a very demanding and stressful job, the salary is very low.

In my opinion, it depends what schools they teach. Some can teach at schools and teach online as a part-timer.

In my country, a teacher's reward is in heaven. Private schools have bastardized the system making people to work for peanuts.

Same here lots of work but underpaid. But there are still many who enjoys being a teacher. I cannot handle the stress so I quit

I think the teaching job at my place is very lucrative - as it is a well-respected job for everyone and also it allows for growth in the field of education.

Ya teaching in the USA and other tier1 countries is lucrative than other countries. One also get other benefits like extra pay and paid holidays off.
