There was a time when this business was in full swing because we all require Xerox copies of different documents on different occasions from time to time and it was considered a good business but times have changed now as people have smartphones and they can easily store different documents digitally but still its a good business and if you can set up a shop near a School or College or Government office you can make good money.

Yes most of these shops have these so they can earn from different things and some even start selling Stationary with it that helps them multiply their earnings as these things are always in demand.

It depends if a person wants to extend his/her business then he/she can start it. I have a shop nearby which does all these works. Its an advantage for the customer as they can have all the things together.

Right now, it's not out, although Pandemic changed things a lot, however many old rules are not changed, so Xerox remained one of the required document in several institutions. It will remain till everything moves online.

Yes it's still a popular business as we still need to submit copies of our Id proofs for different purposes

It's popular because not much investment and skills are required for it. Even le who are not much educated can open it. I have seen ice cream parlours are much in trend these days. Maybe they also dont required much of investment.

The Xerox machine is expensive but I have seen shop owners buying second hand and even if they go for new and have confirmed work like they are near to school or college or Government office, they can expect to get their investment back in 3-4 years

I mean Government offices. Like passport office etc and then you need to get the copies at short notice and ready to pay even Rs. 5 for a copy

Of couse it is. There is still plenty printed documents or printed backup. Those copy and printer machines somebody must maintaince.

This is a good business if the owner opens it near a school or university for there are students coming in and out to photocopy manuals or even a book as permitted by author.

Try get some contract with state service like schools or tax agency. They like print documents.

I actually planned about starting this business a few years ago but then I thought it may not be worth but I feel if you can start the business and add more things like Stationary then it'll be a better option.

Install your business near a school. There are many students and they are your sure customers that will make you profit. There's no doubt.

They are still profitable if the shops are located within the university belt. If I am having this business, I will surely set it up near the school.
