Is Xerox Copy Business Still Profitable?

There is a small stationery store in the shopping mall near my residence offering Xerox copy service. I think their main source of income is from selling stationeries. Xerox copy service is just a side business.

It is so profitable here in schools, colleges and universities. Students just go to Xerox centers to photocopy important pages from their textbook upon authority of their teacher. It's a lucrative business income nonestop.

They are still profitable if the shops are located within the university belt. If I am having this business, I will surely set it up near the school.

The location of this business matters a lot because that is what determine if it is profitable or not. This is why you must ensure that the location you choose will make you sell better in the business.

This business is not as profitable as it was around 4-5 years ago because these days people make use of their smartphone etc but still its a good business and can be tried

This is a very good business once you put up this near a school. Many students photocopy many pages from the book. That is what I always notice here in our city.

There was a time when this business was in full swing because we all require Xerox copies of different documents on different occasions from time to time and it was considered a good business but times have changed now as people have smartphones and they can easily store different documents digitally but still its a good business and if you can set up a shop near a School or College or Government office you can make good money.

You have a very important point because if it is located is densely populated area, it will still be profitable.

This is a good business if the owner opens it near a school or university for there are students coming in and out to photocopy manuals or even a book as permitted by author.

I do believe that you are working in a university there, right? Do you think you can have your business like this? I am sure it would be feasible for having an extra income.

Sorry I do not have time to do business like this hehe. It's not on my mind. The Xerox copier center is manned by relatives of the heads in the university. Then the libraries are provided with Xerox machines.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about this kind of business because this is my first time of hearing about it but I'm still going to look into it and see if it's something that I'll be able to get into.

That's amazing because it was so popular in India a everyone likes to get copies of their documents and IDs for different purposes
