Not advocating that, as you can do both without issue. It is like letting a child run a lemonade stand during holidays and summer. Does that make learning a lesser priority? No. There are ways to teach a kid how to work, without taking away from a school education.

If that is the case then they can. What I am saying is not to let them work at a very early age. Practicing is okay and doing a small work can help them and build work ethics at young age. In poor countries like my country, there are lots of out of school kids who are working early. I have seen YouTuber filming a young boy carrying huge sack of veggies. Instead of going to school, they learned to do so much physical work because of poverty.
So kids who can go to school, must not waste time if they have access to school/education.

This is something that we used to have around where I live, you would have a group of kids around Christmas who would go with their parents and knock on doors and sing Christmas carols. Some would do it just to bring cheer and many would give them something small and others would do it to raise funds for charity. We don't see it as much now though if I am honest which is a shame as it was nice and really helped with the Christmas spirit.

I haven't seen kids doing this in my location. Students who are members of their school choir sing Christmas Carols at shopping malls and community centers. They don't earn money from such activities.

I have noticed such a kind of thing happening in my locality too , you will come across children singing Christmas songs in exchange for money from people around and they will so much appreciat them.

I don't like kids during things to make money but if it is something they can easily do for money then well and good but we need to avoid child's labor

Over hear all the carols i have heard so far are from 9 lessons and carols programs held in churches, i have not seen any kid using this as a way to earn extra capital.

I've actually seen something similar like this happen in my neighborhood where kids will go to rich man's house to sing for them and expect some tips in return which they always get.

We had at least 5-6 groups that came up on December 25th.

This kind of activities is always implemented during the festivities.

Here kids form a group of 2-3 members. They go house to house to sing carol and ask for Christmas present or money. If you give the group money expect another groups will show up singing.

I think we did have a few kids who did this last Christmas season. During my childhood years, my childhood friends, siblings, and I did this yearly. We were more active than young ones nowadays.

Let them enjoy for short period. No harm in making their christmas bright

I used to see youngsters do this in my city before. They tend to have the enjoyment of having some money and share things up with the members. I do hope that next year will be better than now.
