Yes it is very good as a source of passive income. But I haven't done it yet, because the land I own is not in a strategic place, so no one is renting it. I use it myself to plant wood and other small trees such as banana, coconut, cassava, etc.

Leasing land is a passive income strategy and since people use land for lot of activities mostly farming for lease or even some other things .You can earn passively from doing this especially when you own the land and you don't think of using it anytime soon.

Those agents are also know as contractors in many cases. The fact remains that it all depends on what you call them. They might have different roles. Certain contractors also build houses and other projects in the real estate industry.

The land for lease need not be located in an urban area where land prices are bound to be high.
A person owning land in a remote area can generate passive income by leasing the same. The amount received would however not be as high as that in an urban location.
