The Season of Lent is celebrated annually by Catholics. It's a season of fasting and abstinence. It's also the time when many people visit different churches or visit other places and trying on some delicacies. When I was in Pampanga I saw that almost every block has a make shift chapel where anybody who goes there to read the Passion is being offered something to eat like some popular Filipino delicacies. In my place now we don't miss cooking a mixture of different rootcrops boiled and cooked in Coconut milk and sugar which we call ginataan in tagalog or binignit in Cebuano.
