You are a smart lady and we all should act smarter at least in these situations when we are unable to find a bus or cab and even our phone battery diedI would not take it. I was once in a similar situation. And my phone battery had died. I walked to the nearest police station. Took me a whole hour. A lot of people offered me a lift but I declined.
Oh well no way out I will but pray I should be safeLate at night. Standing alone at a bus stop to return home, but no bus in sight. A stranger offers a lift. Will you take it?
In my entire life, it was my first time to hitchhike in Tajikistan. I was quite vigilant about safety. A shared car was broke down in the middle of the desert and I need to think more than twice to have this option. I did take the risk and ride to another shared car and luckily, he was a policeman.I have taken life in on a stranger's vehicle only once, it was just for a short ride of 10 kilometers. However, it turned out that he was my distant relative.
For safety reason, we should not do it. There are so many bad news about doing this option. We can never tell the wickedness of other people's thoughts. With what the world is turning into right now, and with how things are in my country I don't think I would accept any lift from a stranger.
Exactly, due to how wicked the world is today, it is becoming hard to see people who want to do good. These days people are learning to mind their own business. For safety reason, we should not do it. There are so many bad news about doing this option. We can never tell the wickedness of other people's thoughts.
That's the problem, these days you can't really tell which is which. People are now scared to accept help, while some are scared to help. Some people might just want to help but I would still apply caution to be sure of my lift
