In one store here we have loyalty card but you can use their app. You can get promotion materials and some extra discounts. I have it and share it with my brother.

Loyalty rewards are important to stimulate increased sales. It is a purely sales strategy that makes customers to patronize more in hope of an incentive. I have repeatedly patronized a brand for it's loyalty program.

Yes it does increase sales. I remember when where we usually buy gas from use to give out free gifts and the likes, it attracted a lot of customers both old and new.

I think it is a good way for businesses to reward repeat customers. That would also motivate the customers to keep patronizing.
