What are the merits and demerits of Crytocuurrencis as you know?

Merits are we can see our earnings growth and even an investment of $100 can get us $1000 if we are ready to wait. Demerits will be its highly taxable and there is so much risk associated with it.

All I know is that you can have the merits when you gain certain amount of money and demerit is the other way around.
