It all boils down to individual abilities. I as a person, I am not good with multitasking. I am efficient at focusing on a thing at a time. When I multi-task, my efficency reduces.
I can't multi-task when I am on a job. I am a person that is easily distracted. If I have so much work to do, I allot sessions to each of them rather than try to multi-task.
I'm not very good at multitasking. I have to concentrate on one task at a time. Otherwise, I won't be able to execute it properly. I wish I could multitask like the others.
I have seen people that are great multi-taskers. One of my bosses back then could be addressing a meeting and preparing slides simultaneously and all would come out good. I can't try that myself as none would be good.
This kind of person is incredible. And would achieve very much in less time. It is a good trait to have and every organisation should have one of such persons.
I would definitely refrain from multitasking because when a person engages in multi-tasking, then he or she may make mistakes more often. Therefore, it is better to focus on a particular thing.
I've worked with a hi tech start up. Since it is a small company and has limited personnel, each staff has to perform a variety of duties. I had to take customer enquires, organize marketing functions and help with some administrative work.
I am used to multitasking so I can do two or three things at the same time as long as they are the kind of things that I can do while doing other things too. There are some jobs that we cannot multi-task
Yes, a person who can multitask would be great when it comes to working under pressure. Multitasking is one skill most employers look out for when looking for workers.
You just have to be able to lay your hands on two or more things because that is where the world is going and you should be able to do more than one thing. Just have like two skills. That's the goal
Same here, i remember sometimes where working on some faucet sites, i usually make use of two browsers then share my screen into two, i would start working on both sites at the same time just to meet up.
Well, it is easier to do that in the online space. Offline, there are many things you cannot do simultaneously. If you work online full time multitasking is something you must do.
On the flip side, too much multitasking impedes creativity and makes a staff a jack of all trades qnd master of none.
It is not applicable to every one. Some people are very much comfortable with the multitasking and they always get the job done. It is all about doing the job that fits your mental capacity.
It is true! Some people have the ability to do a lot of task at a time and they would be very effective.
