Newspaper is one of the cheapest ways to stay aware of what's happening around the world in detail and because it's cheap it cannot work on its own and dependent on advertisements and many times we see it filled with advertisements only because even a person who doesn't have access to TV or digital media reads newspaper so it's the best medium to advertise for masses and cheap too.

However, to advertise in a newspaper or to advertise anywhere really, you need to know your target audience. And I don’t think many youngsters pick up newspapers these days, so advertising anything related to young adults or teens would be useless in a newspaper.
