No, I cannot just eat fruits for breakfast. My normal breakfast is oatmeal with milk, hard-boiled egg and whole wheat toast. I occasionally have Chinese congee (rice porridge) and fried noodles.
I can add some fruits but I need something salty. It can be just bread with fat or something else from bakery but only fruits no. It is to weak breakfast for me.
I think it is not good to eat sugary food for breakfast, including fruits. But fruits can be better than fruit juice. You need to avoid carbs for breakfast.
People are fruite become to expensive in your area? I can't find here anything below 2 euros per kilogram. Maybe sometimes on discout but those are very low quality and I could throw most of it.
