Sometimes I pity the lecturers in my country because of the incessant and prolonged strike we experienced all the time in my country. I think a university lecturer needs to have other sources of income outside the school money making. So what are the other options available for them?

I know a lot of lecturers that have been able to write their own books which was approved for the department for students to buy for their courses which is a very means of making extra money.

You are right a lot of my past lecturers back then survived a lot on the books they wrote and it was working for them as they even made it mandatory for every one to buy
