What would you do if you were owing someone and you heard the person just passed away. And again the family didn't know about the Owings? Would you tell them about your debt?

When my father died, one of his debtors returned the money he is owning my father to me. It is quite difficult to accept the money then because it seems to me that my father is still alive somewhere.šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

I have never found myself in such a situation and hopefully I won't because I don't borrow. Then again I would still pay my debt because my conscience won't let me.

I have not experienced it, either. I heard that some people never paid their debts when the lenders died.

If I owed someone who just passed away and their family didn't know about the debt, I would feel morally obligated to inform them. Itā€™s important to honor the commitment and maintain integrity. I would approach the family respectfully, explain the situation, and ensure the debt is settled.

Yes it's pretty common, a lot of them do not pay back. Most of them assume once they person who they had business with dies, they are completely free and do not have to pay their debt.
