Info Posting Adjustments

Hello everyone,

We have discovered that some members are posting one-word messages to bump up their post count for the TPOM contest(s). With this being said, we have made some adjustments to make this a fair process. Now, all posts, whether it be replies or threads will now be required to have a minimum character count of 75. This will help reduce spam and will help assist in keeping our monthly contest(s) fair for all members. With this being said, in order to receive RIF Points, you will still need to have a minimum character count of 100.

What about the game threads like counting thread or alphabet threads which is mostly of 1 word?

Best way to do this is to have forum games have there own node/forum. This way you can setup the area to not count posts at all. I would suggest adding a forum for games under the off topic area. Sub forum if you will. @Devin

I also have another question for the TPOM contest and it shouldn't end up at an exact time because last month when I was posting in my time on 1st July before 9.30 Am which happens to be 30th June as per EST time still my posts were counted in the July month so I am confused about it.

Can you check if I have at present 123 posts in this contest? But actually the majority of these I made on 1st July my time and it was 30th June EST time. I hope I am able to describe my problem

You should read the first post where admin is clearly wanting to make it mandatory for users to post 75 characters per post for the contest and for earning wants us to post 100 characters but we are still earning for shorter posts so it's still not clear and I don't want them to effective changes in the last few days of the month

Of course, you can maintain your own understanding of the matter.

In order for your posts to count towards TPOM, you are required to have at least 75 characters. <- This sentence is 96 characters. This would qualify for TPOM, however, it would lack 4 characters from qualifying for RIF points.

thanks, I was confused because other users claimed that they are earning for smaller posts too.

Please can you update the TPOM counter to the revised rules or is it already coinciding with this fresh posting adjustment?

Posts are only counted towards the counter if you meet the minimum character limit.
