Preferring to have male children

I don't know if it is an African thing especially here in Nigeria where father's prefer that their wives birthed them mostky male children. Does it also happens in your country and why?

In traditional Chinese families, male child is preferred. But nowadays, things have changed. Gender is not that important. Most parents just want their child to be happy and healthy.

I have all ladies as children, I don't mind. It is about the value that you can deposit into the child.

Preferring to have male children is a culture in my country but I don't buy that because all children are okay.
